I’m very excited to see how well everyone has been doing in Producer Rewards, and how many new producers have joined us this month. Your concerns and suggestions on how to improve both Metacafe and the Producer Rewards program on the forums and by email will help us develop the program further and to everyone’s satisfaction. Your honesty and hard work will pay off, both literally and figuratively.

I'd like to think that one of the measures of our success is that people are trying to find ways to beat the system. Some people have been fraudulently boosting views to their videos but Metacafe has identified these cheats and banned them (and their IP address) from the program and the site. Fraud impacts all of us by taking money away from the people who have genuinely earned it and by reducing the value of the entire program. Metacafe is actively checking for all kinds of fraud and we will continue to close accounts of people who have little respect for the program or this amazing community.

We want everyone to earn money with Producer Rewards and we welcome any kind of self-promotion you can think of that brings more people to the site and to your videos. But we don't approve of people being tricked into visiting Metacafe or clicking on items that promise one thing and deliver another. Nor will we accept multiple accounts being created to boost the popularity of a single user or multiple views from a single IP for the same clips over and over again in a short space of time.

I'd like to think that most of this is pretty straightforward, but we've seen that there are some unscrupulous souls who refuse to play nice. If anyone has any questions or concerns, let's get them out in the open here on the forums and resolve them.
