I wanted to let you all know about a great opportunity to help us improve Metacafe and shape it into something we can all be proud of.

When we say, “Video Entertainment, Powered by You” we mean it. Starting today, we’re launching the Café Council program, where your feedback and thoughts will help us get to know you better and influence what happens on Metacafe.

How does the program work?
Once you join Café Council, you will be periodically contacted by email to answer an online survey. Here are some questions we’ve asked in the past:

• What’s the best new tagline for Metacafe?
• Here’s a sneak preview of an upcoming feature on Metacafe – what do you think about it?
• How can we make Metacafe a better site?

We respect your time - you will receive no more than 5 survey requests a year.

Cool! How do I sign up?

1. Make sure you qualify - you must:
   • live in the United States (we’ll open this up to other countries, we promise!)
   • be 13 years old or older
2. Fill out the form on the blog.
3. When you receive a Café Council email, please fill out the survey to share your opinion.

I live in Canada, can I sign up right now, or do I have to wait? Also, I hope to be a producer soon, but am not at the moment. So can I still select that I am a producer for the question "I'm a Producer on Metacafe?".

Unfortunately, the Cafe Council is only open to the US at the moment. You can still feel free to apply though, as I'm sure Canada will be joining soon (sorry, no timeline for you). As for the producer question, we define "producers" as users who have had at least 1 video accepted to the Producer Rewards program. Until that happens, you should say you're not a producer.
