Redesign, Sharing And More! Options

In April, we did a makeover of our homepage with a fresh new look that contains videos that are popular now on Metacafe. The makeover now continues with the video page! Here’s a list of the changes we’ve made:



Larger videos: it’s pretty hard to miss the redesigned video player, which has a sleeker interface and is now 30% larger than before. Heck, the new player even makes ridiculous sleeping cats look 30% cuter.



Sharing Metacafe videos: we now support more social networks, blogs, and bookmarking sites, so it’s easier to share your favorite videos with friends, family, and other communities. Click on the “Embed” or “Bookmark” button below the player to access the full list of sites, which include the following sites:

Blog services: Blogger, WordPress

Social networks: Facebook, Friendster, Hi5, MySpace, Orkut

Social bookmarking sites: Del.icio.us, Digg, Google Bookmarks, Mister Wong , Propeller, Reddit, Stumbleupon

Other: iGoogle, Skype, SuperWall



Embedding videos : you can now choose the color of the embeddable player. Just click on the “Advanced” button next to the embed code to check it out.

Updates for the better always welcome, but the player looks wired being black...but i guess we aren't used to it...

Also the player looks 90% worse. Make it white again, it looks much better that way.

I feel that way to... white was better but the size is ok or at least make it a grey or a more bright color !

Great work MC Team. Just one thing, I think the black on the video players is too hard on the eyes and makes the site look too loaded and stuffed. Maybe if the video player size was smaller or white!

But overall, excellent work!
