Hi all!

First off, we’d like to wish everyone happy holidays/new year!

As for the news you’ve been waiting for, here’s the most recent set of changes we’ve made to the site:

Channel Moderation: Now you can report channel abuse and stop spammers in their tracks. Just click the “Report Member” button on the top left of each channel (under the thumbnail). Use this tool to report offensive/spam thumbnails, descriptions and other content. We’ll monitor these reports and deactivate channels when appropriate.

Comments Spam: We’re still fine-tuning this system, but we tweaked a few things to improve our response to your reports.

Submit Video URL: We added this feature a month ago, but this time we tacked on a few more improvements. Now when you submit a video URL, the video metadata (tags, description, title) will automatically be added as well.

Metacafe Tagline: Metacafe has a new tagline: “Video entertainment, powered by you.” This site is all about you guys, starting with the submissions, on up through watching and rating. While these are the major changes you all will see, we’ve made a number of other tweaks under the hood.
