I know you are still playing around with the new User Channels, but I wanted to share with you another great way to promote your videos online!
As of now, Skype has mood messages. What’s a mood message? Glad you asked! It’s a cool new way to personalize your online profile – show your friends how you’re feeling at any given moment and share your favorite videos with all your contacts.
All you need to do is download Skype 3.5 for Windows, click on Personalize -> Add video to your mood, and choose from the huge Metacafe stock covering every genre under the sun. You can also create a new one – or use one you have already uploaded.
You can also now easily integrate video into your Skype chats. When you start a chat with someone, just hit “Videos” in the window that pops up… and again you’ll automatically be directed to the Metacafe catalog, where you can choose a video and drop it right into the chat.
Before you ask, yes – views from Skype will count towards views for Producer Rewards, so personalize your Skype, and have your friends do the same!
